How do you do? Common sense for common folk ... but just because you're common doesn't mean you have to be ordinary.

My favorite recipe Mom used to make

My Mom called them "Hello Dollys" but today they're more commonly referred to as "7-Layer Bars."
No matter what you call them they are the most divine, sweet, crunchy, chewy, sumptious dessert ever! And to think, only about 3 trillion calories per bar!

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts (some prefer pecans)
1 can (15 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

PREP:
Melt the butter and mix with graham cracker crumbs. Pat the crumb mixture into a 9-x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining ingredients over the crumbs in this order: choc chips, butterscotch chips, walnuts then coconut. Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over all but don't stir.
Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes.
Cool and cut into bars.
Eat three or four, get sick, throw up, eat some more!

So Many Questions ... So Little Time.

Betty Lou has been as busy as a bee of late but there are a few topics that are making my head spin:

Isn't militarizing the CIA about the worst idea anyone ever had?

If the majority of this nation's corn crop becomes devoted to the production of ethanol will movie theaters double the price of popcorn? I mean, isn't it already marked up about 5000 percent?

Will Tom Cruise ever appear normal to anyone again or was jumping the couch the end of his blockbuster movie career?

When do you think the Avian Bird Flu will become a pandemic in the U.S. and does anyone think that George Bush will handle it about as effectively as he handled Hurricaine Katrina? However if a flock of infected birds fly into our airspace and Osama Bin Laden takes credit for it, does anyone doubt that Bush, Cheney, et al will take great pleasure in adding Tweety Bird to the Axis of Evil?

Is Michael now an "Other" on "Lost" and does Elliott have a shot at being the next American Idol? What do you think is #1 on Earl's list and, after all this time, does anyone understand what "Unanimous" was about?
